  • Traditional Weft:

Construction: Traditional weft extensions are made by sewing or machine-stitching individual hair strands onto a horizontal strip of fabric or lace.

Thickness: They tend to be thicker and denser compared to genius wefts.

Installation: Traditional wefts are typically installed using braids, beads, or sewing onto cornrows. They can be time-consuming to apply.

Comfort: Some people find traditional wefts less comfortable to wear, especially if they are applied tightly.

    Versus

    Genius Weft:

Construction: Genius weft extensions are created using an innovative, patented technology that eliminates the need for sewing or stitching. The hair is attached to a thin, flexible, and nearly invisible weft.

Thickness: Genius wefts are ultra-thin and lightweight, making them ideal for blending seamlessly with natural hair.

Installation: They are incredibly easy to apply, usually requiring no braids or sewing. They can be installed using various methods, such as tape-ins or micro-links, reducing installation time significantly.

Comfort: Many users find genius wefts more comfortable to wear due to their thin and flexible design, allowing for natural movement and reduced stress on the scalp.

  • Due to the unique nature of each Goddess, there may be a difference in the time it takes to install your extensions. This is why we recommend a consultation prior to your first visit.

Below are average times, but again, this may vary per person.

    • Tape-Ins are about 1 hour.

    • Micro-Links usually take between 2-3 hours, but depending on your hair, it can take longer.

    • For Keratin Fusion, the amount of bundles needed depends on your desired style. We estimate that each bundle will take one hour.

    • Beaded wefts take about 3 to 3.5 hours to fit, apply and blend.

    • Sew-ins can take 45 mins to an hour depending on rows.

Additional time may be required if we are removing old extensions beforehand or haircutting/blending.

    • Tape-ins & Micro Links require maintenance every 6-8 weeks; and can be used 2-3 times depending on Brands, color, and texture before needing new hair.

    • Fusions remain in your hair 3-5 months without maintenance but can’t be reused or reapplied. Every application requires new hair.

    • Beaded weft and NBR, IBE uses weft hair that last about an average of 6-7 months. This method requires maintenance every 6 weeks maintenance.

    • Braided and Sew-Ins can last up to 2 months depending on hair growth.

  • For the hair to blend with your natural hair, it needs to be at least 6-8 inches long. It is possible for women with short hair (right above their shoulders) to wear extensions in the range of 12-16 inches. Volume extensions can also be installed instead of length extensions.

In addition, we offer products that encourage healthy hair growth and scalp health.

  • In fact, yes. Our methods are designed to prevent and eliminate damage to your natural hair. As long as the extensions are applied properly by the stylist and maintained exquisitely by you, extensions can assist in preventing further damage and allowing hair to grow back in a reasonable amount of time. Please not that if you are on certain medications, this can impact your natural hair’s elastcitiy (chemo, blood thinners, etc).

In order to maintain this look, we charge for an extension cut session.

  • No, absolutely not, but quality is the key!!!

Good extensions allow you to style them just as you would your natural hair. In fact, extensions can hold curls for several days, which helps reduce styling time. In order to maintain the vitality of your hair and extensions, we recommend using quality products on them including shampoos, conditioners, and masks.

  • Yes, definitely. Hair extensions require special care to ensure longevity and quality.

    • You must use a shampoo that is sulfate free, paraben free, and sodium chloride free.

    • It is also important to use a hydrating conditioner and a leave-in treatment or detangler.

    • Make sure the extension hair is not exposed to oils.

When it comes to styling products, less is more.

  • In general, stylists recommend move-ups every six to eight weeks, but this is an average and everyone is a bit different. Ultimately, it depends on the elasticity of your hair, the rate of hair growth, and the health of your hair. Clients with finer hair will usually require 4-6 weeks of maintenance appointments. Normal to courser hair 6-8 weeks.

  • Yes, but make sure you use a PH balancing spray to maintain the hair's natural PH. Individual care may be required for different methods of application. As soon as your new hair is installed, we will teach you how to care for it properly. If you are going to be in chlorine, make sure to use a leave-in conditioner and braid your hair prior to swimming. Try to avoid putting your hair into a bun of any style before going swimming as this can cause knotting.

  • The short answer is no. Our services are limited to those listed on our services page, but we can recommend other local businesses if you need them.

  • In fact, yes.

    • Sunscreen! Usually, this turns blonde hair a peach or pink color and is impossible to remove. Always wear the hair up for fun in the sun! If you plan to swim with your extensions, make sure they are wet and that conditioner is applied.

    • Using sulfate-based, silicone-based and sodium chloride-based products will also harm your beautiful new hair.

    • While protein sprays are fantastic, too much is never a good thing. Try to limit use to as directed.

    • Avoid parabens. Try to use color safe shampoos & conditioners.

  • Yes, of course. To ensure a seamless and undetectable blend, we always custom order extensions based on your desired hair color, but sometimes we tone the hair as well. We also carry an extensive line of our Goddess Hair for convenience purchases.

Also, our Goddess Hair Collection has the ability to customize specialized colors catered specifically for you. For color blends that are more complex, we require 4-6 week advance notice since this does take time.

  • Our guests always receive a unique plan based on consultations. As part of our consultation process, we determine the number of wefts and the quantity of the rows based on your natural hair-starting point as well as desired result.

  • These days, many extension terms are being thrown around.

    • The term handtied refers to a type of weft that allows multiple wefts of hair to be stacked side by side.

    • A weft application may also involve machine wefts or micro-machine wefts.

    • A beaded row is formed by attaching your wefts to your natural hair using silicone-lined micro beads. Other terms are: A habit, a WBR, a NBR, an invisible bead extension, a skinny weft, or a hidden row, etc.

Your specific hair goals will determine the type of installation method you should use.

  • Yes, extensions can cause damage to your hair if they are applied incorrectly or not taken care of properly. In making recommendations, we take into account the health of your hair. It is important to keep in mind that extensions are subject to normal wear and tear, which we do our best to minimize. Therefore, proper hair care and maintenance is essential to minimize and even avoid hair damage.

It is also critical that you follow salon guidance to maintain your hair extensions. Not doing so compromises your natural hair and investment. Remember, the products used can either hurt or enhance your investment so choose wisely.

  • That’s an excellent question and one that comes up often when discussing hair extensions.

① The quality of your hair extensions determines how long they will last. The hair extension market is crowded, but not all suppliers are the same. In order to protect your investment and keep it lasting for a long time, we only carry high-quality hair extensions. However, keep in mind anything color-treated compromises the quality of the hair.

In general dark hair is not compromised with color and lasts longer, while anything above 1B is color treated and therefore won’t last as long as virgin hair. This is why if you plan on using color-treated hair, investing in good quality is an absolute must. Virgin hair can last 1-1.5 years, while color treated can last 8-12 months depending on quality.

② A lot depends on how well you take care of your hair at home. The importance of proper care cannot be overstated! Maintaining a regular brushing routine is essential to preventing tangling and breaking of your hair. We also recommend to minimize washing to 2-3 times a week with sulfate-free shampoo. Also, Keep the heat low for both blow dryer and flat-iron! This will help your hair last longer.

As with natural hair, hair extensions can be damaged by heat, but extensions cannot be repaired and must be replaced.
